Going back to Makiling. See you around, self.
If there is a true transcript of the city, it is to be found in the avant-garde vigilance of CCTV, which captures the ongoing events of modernity, 24 hours a day. It should not be security guards installing and monitoring these cameras, but architects and urban planners. Only in the minutiae of passing minutes will they discover how the city should evolve. As composer John Cage once wrote: “There is no such thing as an empty space or an empty time. There is always something to see, something to hear.”
An open door is very attractive. :)
This is somewhat related to the Panopticon concept. Yay for more ideas. I hope I can stitch every idea beautifully, though.
Hmm.. interesting artistic musing on our society and the way our social structures fuck us all throughout life.
“Success”, what is it? For me, at this point, it’s finding contentment and sharing that contentment with those that I love and those that I will love (all those that I know that are a part of my life.) I don’t worry about finances and never have; even when I have been in debt I usually take care of it and learn from it, thereby reducing my spending. I don’t even need much to exist on, but I’m happy with what I have within my existence. I don’t strive for more than I can attain, nor do I want more than I can attain. This, I think, is the problem for most of us in this society. We chase after financial “epiphanies”, or, “security”, but actually chase after financial excess and this is what causes society to fuck us over and over.
I think I’m at a crossroads, or rather, have been all this year. Between my own selfish individualism and between trying to understand and share my life and that which I can share of my love with those around me.
Sigh. Look at the travel part though. Can I just get a college degree and then travel and die sometime soon?

Hi. I created this tumblelog in order for me to document my thesis work. All seen inspirations, doodles, ideas, photographs, films, music, etc., etc. shall and will go in here.
I’m Gab. I’m a senior high school student at the Philippine High School for the Arts, major in Visual Arts. Let the documenting begin.
